Terms of Service - Game Dev Outsourcing

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Game Dev Outsourcing ("the Platform"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

Game Dev Outsourcing provides a platform that connects game development studios with outsourcing companies and service providers. The Platform allows users to:

Create company profiles showcasing services and expertise
Browse and search for potential business partners
Display portfolio projects and work samples
Access contact information of registered companies

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Platform, you must register for an account. You agree to:

Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
Maintain the security of your password and account
Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

4. Paid Listings, Billing, and Refunds

Basic listings are free and nothing in this section applies to them. Paid listings (Verified and Featured) are billed in advance through Stripe on the cycle you choose at checkout, monthly or annual, and renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time from the billing portal in your dashboard or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; paid features remain active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which the listing continues in the directory on the Free plan.

30-day money-back guarantee. We will refund your first payment on a new paid subscription in full — the entire charge, whether you paid for a month or for a year — if you ask us within 30 days of the date of that charge. To request it, email support@gamedevoutsourcing.com from the address on the account and tell us the company name. You do not need to give a reason. The date your request reaches us is the date that counts, not the date we act on it. We will normally issue the refund within five business days, to the original payment method; your bank may take a further five to ten days to show it.

The guarantee covers the first payment on a subscription, once per company. Renewal payments, and any payment made more than 30 days before your request, are not covered and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

When we issue a guarantee refund we cancel the subscription at the same time, so paid features end then rather than at the end of the period you paid for. The listing itself is not deleted: it remains in the directory on the Free plan and keeps its profile, portfolio, and history.

5. User Content and Conduct

You are solely responsible for the content you post on the Platform. You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
Post content that is offensive, defamatory, or illegal
Use the Platform for spam or unsolicited advertising
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Platform
Scrape or collect data from the Platform without permission

6. Business Relationships

Game Dev Outsourcing is a platform for connecting businesses. We are not party to any agreements between users and do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of services offered through the Platform. All business transactions and relationships formed through the Platform are solely between the involved parties. You agree to exercise appropriate due diligence when engaging with other users.

7. Intellectual Property

The Platform and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Game Dev Outsourcing and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to content you post on the Platform, but grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it as necessary to operate the Platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

Game Dev Outsourcing shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Platform. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account and access to the Platform at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms of Service on the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
