Best Outsourcing Studios for Mid-Core Mobile Game Development (2026)

As of 2 November 2026, 11 studios in this directory name mid-core games as work they build for clients and list iOS or Android, including GlobalStep, Kevuru Games and Game-Ace. Mid-core means real systems: progression, an economy, often PvP and server-side logic, then seasons and events once the game is live, so the team needs a backend engineer and an economy designer as well as artists. Published prices are the widest of any mobile genre, from $35,000 at one studio to more than $1,000,000 at another, so compare scope documents rather than totals. Each card gives the studio's city, team size, founding year and main services. Membership comes from the specialty tags on each listing, checked against the studio's own site or claimed listing. Featured listings sit at the top of the list and are labelled; the rest follow the directory's score.

How to choose a mid-core studio

Start with the team on the quote. Codazz says a mid-core RPG quote with no economy designer, or a multiplayer quote with no backend engineer, is incomplete rather than cheap. Ask for a live mid-core title the studio still supports, who ran its seasons, and how it handled a broken economy after launch. Ask what the studio assumes about live ops, because Codazz says players of a mid-core game expect events and seasons, and a low build price can leave that cost for later. Pay for a vertical slice before the production milestones: Codazz calls it the best money in the project.

What studios publish for a mid-core game

Mid-core mobile game prices studios advertise, with the schedule each one gives
Studio and page dateWhat it pricesPriceTime
Game Tactics, 16 Jul 2026Midcore: RPG, strategy, shooter$35,000-$60,000+4-8 months
A Plus Games Studio, 30 Jun 2026Full 3D with monetization, which it says suits mid-core$80,000-$150,0003-6 months
StudioKrew, edited 6 May 2026Mid-core multiplayer$80,000-$200,0004-7 months with basic multiplayer
Red Apple Technologies, edited 14 Sep 2026Mid-core mobile game$80,000-$300,000+We found no schedule on the page
Whimsy Games, table headed 2026Mid-core: social, RPG$100,000-$300,0004-8 months
Game-Ace, edited Jun 2026 by its sitemapMid-core with backend and multiplayer€150,000-€350,00010-16 months
Codazz, 21 Aug 2026Mid-core: RPG, strategy, shooter-lite$150,000-$600,0006-14 months
300Mind, 16 Sep 2026Mid-core: RPG, strategy$200,000-$1,000,0008-18 months
Innovecs Games, 12 Aug 2026Mid-core RPG or strategy$300,000-$1,000,000+12-18 months

Each is that studio's own advertised figure, and none is a price a buyer paid. The schedule is the clue to scope: a four-month game and an 18-month game are both called mid-core here. Live ops comes on top, at $15,000-$50,000 a month by Codazz's figure. Some of these studios are not on this list; they are here because they publish a price.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best outsourcing studios for mid-core mobile game development?

The 11 studios on this list name mid-core games as a service on their own site or claimed listing and list iOS or Android, as of 2 November 2026. Studios on it include GlobalStep, Kevuru Games and Game-Ace. We do not rate them against each other, and the order follows paid tier and then a profile score. Judge them on a live mid-core title they still support and on who designs the economy and writes the backend.

How much does a mid-core mobile game cost to develop?

By this site's estimates, a mid-core free-to-play launch build runs $150,000-$500,000 over 8 to 18 months, and seasons and regular drops add about $180,000-$600,000 in the first year. Studios advertise far wider: Game Tactics from $35,000 over 4 to 8 months, and Innovecs Games from $300,000 over 12 to 18 months with 12 to 30 people. Those are different games under one label, so the schedule and the team on a quote tell you more than the total.

What team does a mid-core mobile game need?

More than a casual game, and the difference is in the systems. Codazz gives 3 to 6 engineers including backend, 3 to 6 art and animation staff, an economy designer, two QA testers and a producer, with a typical size of 8 to 15 for an RPG or strategy game. Its summary table says 6 to 15 for mid-core, so treat that as one vendor's rough view. Check that a quote names the backend engineer and the economy designer, and ask how many of those people stay after launch.
