Studios That Make Game Trailers and Cinematics (2026)
As of 29 September 2026, 63 studios in this directory list game trailers and cinematics as a specialty, including Sparx* Studios, Amber and Room 8 Studio. The work covers announcement and gameplay trailers, opening and story cinematics, and the short videos a store page needs, made either in the game engine from your own assets or pre-rendered for a look the engine cannot reach. A trailer is an editing and sound job as much as an animation one, so look for cut trailers on each studio's site, not only a shot reel. Each card gives the studio's city, team size, founding year and main services. Membership comes from the specialty tags on each listing. Featured listings sort first and are labelled; the rest follow the directory's score.

How We Select
How to choose a trailer or cinematics studio
Decide first whether the piece is in-engine or pre-rendered, because that choice sets who can bid: an in-engine studio needs your engine, your build and your assets, while a pre-rendered piece can be made from a brief and exported models. Then ask each studio for a cut trailer close to yours in length and purpose, who edits it, and who does the music and the mix, since many studios deliver picture only. For store pages, list every deliverable up front, because a Steam trailer, an App Store preview and a Google Play video have different lengths and formats. The cinematics, trailers and UA creative guide covers briefs and pipelines in more detail.
Frequently asked questions
Which studios make game trailers and cinematics?
The 63 studios on this list name trailers and cinematics as a specialty on their own listing, as of 29 September 2026. Studios on it include Sparx* Studios, Amber and Room 8 Studio. Some are animation studios that also cut video, some are trailer and marketing houses, and some are game studios with a cinematics team. Ask each for a finished trailer rather than a reel, and ask who does the sound.
Should I brief an in-engine or a pre-rendered trailer?
Brief in-engine when the footage must match what players see or ship inside the game, since in-engine sequences reuse the game's assets and can be re-rendered after an art change. Brief pre-rendered for a one-off announcement piece whose lighting, simulation or crowds exceed what the engine can run. The choice also limits who can bid: an in-engine studio needs your build and your engine version.
Do trailer studios also make ad creatives for user acquisition?
Some do, but it is a different job. A trailer is one finished piece; user-acquisition creative is a steady flow of short video ads and playables, tested and replaced as their performance drops, and usually priced per batch or as a retainer. The cinematics, trailers and UA creative guide explains how that work is briefed.
